We have a collection of video games and DVD videos based on video games. They are located on shelves near the Research Help Desk on the main floor (to the left of Stairwell A).
Find video games by searching our catalogue.
Our collection includes contemporary games (video and board games) and interactive media to support teaching and research across a variety of subject disciplines including: computer animation, video effects, game design, virtual reality systems, graphic design, 3D visualization, human-computer interaction, cultural and narrative studies. The scope of this collection is shaped by available platforms and operating systems.
Carleton University offers a stream of Computer Game Development in the Bachelor of Computer Science Honours program and an Interactive Multimedia and Design program under the Bachelor of Information Technology degree. We began collecting games in 2008 at the request of faculty teaching in these programs.
