This guide will help you find information about provincial and territorial government resources in our collection and online.

Quick Start: Go to Provinces and Territories (Government of Canada) to get a quick link to provincial/territorial websites. For more detailed links within a province or territory, select the jurisdiction name from the list below.

Collection Scope

We have a large collection of provincial and territorial government publications including annual reports, legislative debates, commissions of inquiry reports, budgets, and public accounts and statistics located in the Maps, Data and Government Information Centre.

Canadian provincial and territorial publications have call numbers that start with CA2. Note: Always write down the 3-letter location code (e.g. DDV, DDR, or DDM) together with the call number to locate the item in the collection.

To find printed publication catalogues from provincial official publishers, including historical bibliographies, use the "Goverment Document Subject Heading" search and enter "government publications" followed by the name of the province or territory. For online publication lists look under individual province or territory links in this guide.

The Microlog microfiche collection comprises federal, provincial, territorial, and some municipal official publications. These publications are not individually listed in the library catalogue. Search in the Canadian Research Index  as well as the library catalogue to locate all library holdings of provincial documents.
