Carleton University Library has a significant collection of documents by international intergovernmental organizations (IGOs). These include:
- United Nations official records and resolutions
- Publications of UN affiliated organizations such as the World Bank and the International Labour Organisation
- Official publications of the European Union and much more
IGOs are also a major source of international statistics. Their publications are a key source of information for clients researching economics, politics, public administration, international affairs, cultural, environmental and social issues, and current events. Most are located in the Maps, Data and Government Information Centre and are listed in the Library Catalogue.
