New to Geomatics/GIS? Start here:

  1. Sign our Data Use License Agreement so you can access our GIS Workstations and licensed local data collection.
  2. Our Find > GIS page has a search that will help you find datasets we have in our collection. Having trouble? Ask us.
  3. Lots of Ontario geospatial data (contours, imagery, roads, etc.) is available online via Scholars GeoPortal to Carleton students and staff.
  4. If you would like a student copy of Esri's ArcGIS software for free, let us know.
  5. We have a wide variety of step-by-step help guides, everything from What are Shapefiles? to MrSID images and viewers.
